My german shepherd is 9 months old and his ears are still not up. My other german shepherds ears were up by 8wks. Is there still a chance they could come up?

no, their ears stays up sharp
No i am sorry there ears stay small wen u cut them but if he is a baby then thell grow but his ears will stay small cuz u cut them
Not at this point. You could have tried to tape them at about 16 weeks, but that ship has sailed. Sorry
Apparently you can tape them…?
yes they will some dogs are late bloomers. mine did until he was 12 months old so he ok
You should talk to your vet about having them taped to help them strengthen to stay up. I don’t know much about this procedure so I would caution that pain is not worth looks for pets. You can also work with him to use his ears…training sessions with new/different noises in various locations to have him work those ears.
Not now. He is past the teething stage. You could still glue them or tape to try and get them up but it’s not likely. My boy’s started going up around 12 weeks and were iffy until after he was done teething until they finally set up. But as a general rule if they aren’t up by 7 months…they aren’t likely to go up.
My dog is large and had heavy ears, massages daily along with limited contact to the bases of the ears made them stronger. Cold weather also makes them more fragile.
Susu..REALLY? Good lord…I thought EVERYONE knew a GSD’s ears NATURALLY stand…they aren’t modified or cropped in any way…jeez…
ADD: Gluing is a better method than taping. I can describe it to you more in full if you want to e-mail me.
yeah if u research german shepherd pups there ears are floppy until they grow up, the will be pointed
